This is my first time to challenge the ombre pattern on a birthday cake.Okay...
What is Ombre Pattern?
It literally know as gradient, i think. Whatever it is, I just like the layering of colors. It is beautiful & marvelous. It is awesome isn't?
You might refer here (the term 'Ombre' is usually use in hair design) for you reference.
Ermm... using fresh cream is a bit difficult & challenging as it is easier to become unstable after beaten. You need to use it within certain period of time as it will become airy & watery after that.
(Your frosting appearance will be holey instead of smooth).
So need to be fast... fast... & fast... before it ruin your whole cake especially when your operation area is quite hot & stuffy.
By the way, this cake is make for the 'Birthday Makan' organize by church cell group for the Young People.
But the outcome is still okay >.<
Just need more practice to make a perfect one (though nothing is perfect) :-P
